Argentina announces new measures for economic recovery

According to the Télam agency, the Argentine government announced on Sunday a series of actions to assist Argentine workers and employers of small and medium-sized companies, as well as self-employed workers. The package will also benefit workers in the private sector with a salary supplement. The allowance will be equivalent to 50% of the salary liquidity corresponding to the month of February 2020, and may not be less than one, nor more than two minimum wages.

Alberto Fernández said that he will postpone or reduce as much as possible the employer's contributions to the Argentine Integrated Social Security System due to the pandemic. Credit granting measures will also be taken, zero-rate credits will be made available to people adopting the Simplified Scheme for Small Taxpayers and self-employed workers, the measures can be extended until June 30, if necessary.
