Pizza Hut now accepts cryptocurrencies in Venezuela

English Nov 30, 2020

The Venezuelan subsidiary of America's largest pizzeria chain Pizza Hut has partnered with a company focused on cryptography to offer its customers the ability to pay with cryptocurrencies.

The Latin American-focused crypto company that offers digital currency payment solutions and ATM withdrawals works just like CapPay.

Recently, an increasing number of companies are starting to use crypto as the local currency is losing value day after day as it struggles to survive. Among the big names are Burger King, Intercontinental, Tamanaco Hotel, Venezuelan gas stations that accept payments with Petro, supermarket chain Excelsior Gama, pharmacies Farmarato, among many others.

As soon as the news spread, the Venezuelan crypto user community was very pleased with the change in the pizzeria chain, and many of its members took the opportunity to order what they called "cryptopizzas" and post photos on their social networks.
