Sierra Leone plans to adopt blockchain to its national ID system

The government of Sierra Leone plans to create a blockchain-based system called the National Digital Identity Platform (NDIP) to manage the identity of its inhabitants. It is expected to be ready by the end of this year. The system will also be used to create a financial register, facilitating access to credit.
