Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, are in becoming very popular now. For many artists, they have become an exciting new medium of expression - and an impressive source of income.
Well-known artists such as Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland, rapper MF DOOM and cult digital artist Beeple are among those who have made millions selling encrypted art.
But the most interesting are the geniuses who were born from right the NFT market itself. One of them, FEWOCiOUS, raised on his 18th birthday no less than $ 370,000.
The birth of a crypto artist
“I didn't know what cryptography was, I just knew that I could sell my prints and physical paintings. I had my own website and sold a painting for about $ 95. Months later, the customer reappeared. He sent me a photo of the receipt by email and said: ‘Hello! I'm the guy who won the painting. I noticed that you put a certificate of authenticity with your painting, so you care about authenticity. Let me talk about NFTs... ”
An established NFT artist
The young artist sold her first NFT, called She Makes Me Feel Alive, for 10 ETH on September 24th. Shortly thereafter, it hit its biggest sale: $ 25,000, an art piece called by Moment i Fell in Love. Sales did not stop there, with other works well accepted by the community being negotiated for over five digits.
The rise of young artists like FEWOCiOUS shows all the benefits of decentralization and democratization in the world through its digitalization. The only question left to ask is: will the world become more digitized in the future or less? Are we reaching the limit or just starting?
