A survey of cryptocurrencies carried out in Europe shows that the population's confidence in this asset class grew in 2020. Approximately 2/3 of the participants answered to believe that bitcoin, for example, will still exist in 2030.
The study also shows that 1 in 10 Europeans believe that cryptocurrencies will be used and fully integrated into the economy within 10 years, and 9% say it will only be used as a reserve or investment.
The data revealed that European countries that experienced difficulties due to the coronavirus, such as Italy, tend to believe more in the potential of cryptocurrencies, due to their security and decentralized structure.
The level of trust has grown with each passing year, with more people joining or deepening their knowledge of these technologies. Compared to the survey conducted in 2019, there was a substantial increase of 3%.
